Intergard 162 is a modified, two-component epoxy tie coat, tar-free, designed as a bonding layer between anticorrosive primers and cosmetic finishes. Also suitable as a primer for internal steelwork (accommodation, engine rooms, stores). Ideal for newbuilding and repair. Color: White. Recommended dry film thickness: 100 μm, theoretical coverage 5.7 m²/L. Application by airless spray, brush, or roller. Fast drying: touch dry in 6 hrs at 25°C, hard dry in 16 hrs. VOC: 400 g/L. Mixing ratio: 4:1 (Part A/B). Certified for fire resistance, smoke & toxicity, compliant with Marine Equipment Directive. Compatible with epoxy anticorrosive primers (e.g., Intergard 343, Intershield 300).
